Case study
In 2001 one of our manufacturing clients relocated their production. djm electrical
and mechanical was tasked with working with the clients’ surveyor and addressing
the dilapidation report generated by the landlords surveyor on sale of their building
lease.
Using the djm partner resource and our in house engineers we completed the task on
time and within half of the landlords surveyors estimated budget. Using djm partner
resources, we carried out some of the more unusual tasks along with our published
services:
- Strip out all redundant services. Remove duct and service penetrations through the
warehouse walls and roof. Carryout repairs to the building internal and external
cladding including for procurement and manufacture of obsolete British steel roofing
profile to maintain the building integrity
- Deep clean internal faces of the warehouse and offices 18 000 m² internal 14 000
m² external
- Re decorate offices and warehouse steelwork
- Repair concrete floor with epoxy based fillers including for shot blasting and painting
4000 m²
- Reinstate fire retarding surfaces
- Repairs to curtain walling glass panels
- Service warehouse roller shutter doors
- Service warehouse air curtain
- Service ‘Pwr-matic’ warm air gas heaters, Hamworthy hot water storage, office heating
boiler and associated controls
- Resurface damaged tarmac to car park and reinstate thermo plastic lines
- Tidy gardens and cut the grass
